Consultation charts way for missional church
The agency’s top executive, Roland Fernandes, said the April 17-19 Africa Mission Partners Consultation in Maputo was one of several conversations planned for this year that will focus on the agency’s programs. Six bishops from around Africa attended the consultation.
New caucus supports African bishops, regionalization
At an inaugural meeting April 21-22, forum delegates unanimously elected the Rev. Lloyd T. Nyarota of the Zimbabwe East Conference as the caucus’ general coordinator. Regional coordinators, secretaries and advisers were also elected.

Rulings address LGBTQ resolution, Congo special session
The Judicial Council released rulings April 25 stemming from last fall’s jurisdictional conferences, including one dealing with a resolution on LGBTQ inclusion adopted by all five jurisdictions.
Group plans for budget cuts, regionalization
